BBL 16-17 Recap: Week 9, Sunday

Leicester Riders’ unbeaten run in the BBL Championship came to an end on Sunday as five games took place. The Riders suffered a 97-92 loss at the hands of Glasgow Rocks with Neil Watson scoring 24 points in the win against his former side. Meanwhile, Rahmon Fletcher scored 28 points to lead Esh Group Eagles Newcastle to a comeback 86-91 road win at Leeds Force as they stay top of the league. Plymouth Raiders defeated Worcester Wolves 94-81 and DBL Sharks Sheffield returned to winning ways with a 78-93 success at Cheshire Phoenix. Also, Manchester Giants made it three wins on the bounce after seeing off Bristol Flyers 82-80 in overtime, behind 28 points from Sam Toluwase.
