An eventful Friday evening in the BBL Championship saw all four road teams come away with important victories. London Lions ended a 13-wait for a league win in Newcastle as they finished strong to defeat Esh Group Eagles Newcastle 78-88 with Kai Williams netting 23 points in the win. Meanwhile, Leicester Riders also maintained their unbeaten start with a dominant 39-103 success away at Leeds Force with five players in double figures, led by Drew Sullivan’s 18 points. Surrey Scorchers claimed their first league win as they beat DBL Sharks Sheffield 76-81, while Glasgow Rocks rallied from a slow start in an 81-94 triumph over Worcester Wolves behind a 26-point haul from Kieron Achara.
