Great Britain Women WIN U25 European Championships

The Great Britain Women’s U25 Team proved the future of wheelchair basketball is in safe hands, as they took gold at the 2016 Women’s U25 European Championships in Elxleben, Germany this weekend.

With an average age of just over 18-years-old, Leah Evans joined forces with Coventry’s Siobhan Fitzpatrick to co-captain the side to victory. Having defeated Turkey twice, GB avenged an earlier defeat to Germany to storm back in the final and take gold with a 51-42 victory.

Leah Evans and Katie Morrow were named in the competition’s All Star 5.
