Greenaway named Molten WBBL Coach of the Month for March

Nottingham Wildcats’ play-caller Dave Greenaway has secured another Molten WBBL Coach of the Month accolade after grabbing the prestigious award for March.

His team went unbeaten during the period, continuing their flawless record at the top of the WBBL Championship and also landing silverware at the Betty Codona Classic.

It’s the second time during 2016 that Greenaway has scooped the monthly prize, having also been crowned Coach of the Month for January.

Currently 12-0 at the summit of the WBBL table, Wildcats opened their account for the month by topping the podium at the BC Classic.

Greenaway firstly masterminded a BC Cup Semi-Final triumph against Team Northumbria as Wildcats swept their way to an 80-54 success.

Then the following day, they beat arch rivals and host club Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 89-81 as Melissa Diawakana came alive to score 26 points in an MVP performance.

Returning to league action the following weekend, Wildcats dominated Brixton Topcats 69-37 on the road as Hannah Shaw registered a perfect seven of seven shooting effort.

They followed that up with a 91-64 derby destruction of Leicester Riders as the in-form Ashley Harris amassed a phenomenal 31 points and 15 rebounds.
